How to complete a "Peer Instruction" exercise in a course

This quiz requires several steps to complete, and involves you sharing what you are thinking with other learners. The objective is to let you think through this issue carefully, and to see what other learners are thinking about the topic. This way we can learn from one another.

Your name will not be shown with your responses. This is so you can focus on contributing the best possible answer, without being concerned about whether your reasoning or spelling is exactly correct.

Please contribute in English so that others can understand. You can use Google translate to translate your response into English. Click here: https://translate.google.com.

Here is a step-by-step explanation of how such quizzes work:

  1. Choose the response you think is most correct in the multiple choice question below.
  2. Write an explanation of why you chose that option. Make a strong argument for why you chose that option, because other learners will be reading what you write (they won’t know who you are, though).
  3. Once you have completed your initial response, click Next Step.
  4. Now, review the initial responses of other course participants. This gives you the chance to learn from the explanations of other course participants.
  5. After reading, you will be given the chance to respond to the same question again. You are free to change your mind! Just as for the first time, you have to write why you chose this option this time around.
  6. After this, you will see the correct response and the explanation given by the course team.
  7. Finally, you will see graphs comparing the percentage of fellow learners who chose each option. Compare your own choice to these, and to the correct one.
